Revismo with the Estonian National Opera’s Technical Specialist hosted CAD software training for the Theatre industry using Autodesk Inventor. The training covered everyday design work in Inventor with special focus on the technical and spatial characteristics of the theatre environment.
The session was attended by more than 20 engineers and specialists from across the world, working in stage technology and construction creating technical theatre solutions.
Training content
The aim of the training was to support participants in their daily design work and help them use Inventor software more consciously and efficiently, regardless of their previous experience. Theoretical background was linked with practical examples and real-life work situations, enabling new skills to be immediately applied in everyday work.
Training included:
- Creating and linking sketches to ensure stable geometry that is resistant to subsequent changes throughout the project.
- Modelling details and assemblies, focusing on constructing complex geometric solutions and preventing errors in the early initial stages of design.
- Managing large assemblies and version control, which is essential for teamwork and efficient workload management.
- Using Inventor and Vault together to ensure a clear structure, data consistency and to prevent duplicate versions.
- Preparing production drawings and final technical documentation to ensure clarity for manufacturing and installation, eliminating production issues.
Training was based on Revismo’s daily experience in international product development and engineering. Utilising work methods that help to ensure accurate and reliable designs in even most complex projects.
