Erasmus trainees in Revismo

17.08.2023UncategorizedBirgit Hallkivi

A professional internship is an excellent opportunity for future engineers to gain valuable practical experience and broaden their perspectives. This summer, five adventurous and eager-to-learn trainees from Sonthofen’s State Technical College  in Germany came to our office for an Erasmus internship.

Quentin and Mark share their experiences of their internship at Revismo, as well as their impressions of Estonia:

Quentin comes from Sonthofen, the southernmost town in Germany, located in the middle of the picturesque Alps. He came to Estonia to do an engineering internship at the suggestion of his teacher. He was hoping to learn how to use software such as Solidworks, but had no idea that his internship at Revismo would exceed his expectations. During his time at Revismo, Quentin had the opportunity to get to know different aspects of engineering and he is happy to say that the supportive and friendly colleagues at Revismo made his internship experience particularly memorable. The Estonian culture, which he finds very similar to Germany, and the beautiful Old Town of Tallinn also fascinated him. Quentin is grateful for this enriching experience at Revismo and is looking forward to new challenges in the engineering world.

Mark comes from the heart of Bavaria. His passion for engineering and his interest in the Baltic States led him to a traineeship in Revismo. Mark wanted to experience the practical side of engineering and its real-life implementation. At the end of his traineeship, he can say that in Revismo he found plenty of opportunities to quench his thirst for knowledge by getting to know the engineering world better. The time he spent at Revismo also provided him with a wonderful opportunity to broaden his perspective by learning more about Estonian culture. Already familiar with Ukrainian culture because of his mother’s background, Mark found that there were some similarities between the two countries, but he was particularly impressed by the special nuances that are unique only to Estonia.

We sincerely hope that the knowledge and experience you have gained here as well as the memories you have created here will be unforgettable. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours! Thank you for choosing us and Estonia as your Erasmus destination!
