Kayak design and engineering
Project description:
The Revismo team carried out development work in the development projects of kayaks. During the nearly 5-year project, Revismo assisted in the development of more than 11 different kayaks. Revismo’s task was mostly the development of industrial design solutions corresponding to the moulding technology, and later the design of surface models of moulds. The moulds for the kayaks were mainly made of composite or cast aluminium.
The main key points in the project were a good knowledge of production technologies and 3D modelling of very complex free-form surfaces. Due to the very high cost of the forms, even more emphasis had to be placed on the quality of the design and modelling work.
