The specificity of the lathing lies, among other things, in the length of the material to be processed. The machine is capable of turning wood longer than 10 metres. The products manufactured are used as flagpoles and lighting poles. The machine is controlled via a touch screen and almost all operations are carried out automatically. The Revismo team placed particular emphasis on safety and compliance with standards.
The main challenges of the project were to overcome the challenges posed by the length of the blanks and the characteristics of the material. Revismo’s team carried out the development and design work in the detail of the working design and then carried out the assembly and installation work at the client’s site.
The design and development work totalled around 380h.
