2022 started with good news for Revismo engineers and customers. The company has acquired a software package for complex analysis called Dassault Systems Solidworks Premium Simulation. Most of the calculations that mechanical engineers face in their daily work can be carried out with standard analysis modules in CAD software. Solidworks Premium Simulation is aimed at the analysis of more complex and mainly non-linear loading situations.
The new software allows us to offer our customers, for example, the virtual execution of the destructive tests required for the CE marking of specific products. By performing the analyses virtually, it allows our engineers to identify potential weaknesses before the physical test is carried out. These physical destructive tests are generally carried out abroad and are costly. By using non-linear calculations, we are able to significantly reduce costs for our customers, as well as time to market.
The new software allows us to investigate the following situations:
- Behaviour of structures and parts after crossing the material’s yield point.
- Strength and deformation of composite materials
- Vibration effects on parts and assemblies
- Stresses and their consequences
- Fatigue and its consequences
