Modular building
Project description:
The modular building project concerned a municipal waste recycling plant that can be transported to another location if needed. The project was complicated because of the requirement that the installation and dismantling of the building must take place in a short period of time, mainly using bolted connections. The various building modules are transported to the site pre-assembled so that most of the interior work is also done.
Standards used in the project:
EN 1990 Eurocode |
Basis of structural design |
EN 1991 Eurocode 1 |
Actions on structures |
EN 1993 Eurocode 2 |
Design of steel structures |
EN 1090-1:2009 |
Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures. Part 1: Requirements for conformity assessment of structural components |
EN 1090-2:2018 |
Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures. Part 2: Technical requirements for steel structures |
EN 1090-3:2019 |
Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures. Part 3: Technical requirements for aluminium structures |
