Bending machine
Project description:
The device developed during the project is a fully automatic sheet metal bending machine. The bench bends steel sheets with a thickness of 0.4 to 0.7 millimetres. What makes the bench unique is that the width of the bendable part can be adjusted automatically according to the dimensions of the production batch. Due to the very complex shape of the parts to be bent, the development of the adjustable width was significantly more difficult compared to conventional bending machines. The project was even more complex due to the requirement that one of the bending operations must take place while the sheet to be bent was moving.
